Elaine Vincent (Daughtry)

Since leaving Nova High School in 1976, I have, unfortunately, not been involved in the theatre. I graduated
from Florida State University with a bachelors degree in Social work in 1980, married and moved to Americus,
GA. After investigation the social work positions that were available, I decided that social work was
definitely NOT FOR ME! I’ve been involved in banking ever since. My husband Eddie and I moved back to
Tallahassee in 1984 and I’ve been working for the Capital City Bank commercial and real estate departments
since then. My two beautiful daughters, Amanda and Katie were born in 1987 and 1989. Eddie and I later
divorced, but I have just been remarried — to a wonderful man — Kieth Daughtry and have gained two more
children. Alison (21) is a senior at FSU, majoring in computer science, and Marcus (19), who just completed
his freshman year at Tallahassee Community College. My current interests lie with my children. We are involved
in Girl Scouting (I’m a leader and co-leader in the troops), and dancing (they both love Jazz). I haven’t yet
talked them into loving tap dancing the way their momma did. Hopefully, one day I’ll be dancing again —
though adult classes in Tallahassee are hard to find.
