I played a number of sports and that was my passion during high school. Mrs. Hall Recruited me and found out I couldn’t sing, Dance or act so I became a big help to the back stage. I did have a small part in Mame and enjoyed hamming it up. I think that was clear I wasn’t for the stage. 😊 Being a part of the Performing Arts program experience was some of the best times of my life. I fell in love with the theater after traveling with the class twice to see Broadway shows. I have loved the theater to this day. I always say I may not be talented but the talent on stage needs me applauding for them. Some of my best friends today are alumni of the Hall Hill Performing Arts program. After school I ended up working in my fathers Tile Business and took over the rains and to this day it continues successfully.
I married Vikki Maseman my highschool sweetheart. Paige and Vikki were best friends in High School and still are today. Vikki has always been a friend and supporter to so many in Performing Art. She helped by passing out programs and being a support during the shows. Contact:hyarb@yahoo.com |

Today I divide my time, along with my wife Angela, between New Hope PA, Fort Lauderdale FL, and our boat. We have four adult children three of whom live in NYC and the fourth in the Washington DC area. Since 2001 my professional life has been focused on leading Edgestream Partners, a mathematics-based hedge fund based in Princeton, NJ. More recently I also led investment into Twenty Billion Neurons, a Toronto (Canada) and Berlin (Germany) based AI company focusing on deep learning and visual human machine interaction. After leaving Nova I attended Emory University, UC Berkeley, and eventually earned my Ph.D. from Princeton University. In 1980 I founded Proximity Technology Inc. that, most notably, became the leading supplier of spelling/language software, and the PF474 chip. My 1979 design for a hand-held speller was first implemented by Franklin Computer in 1987. Proximity later merged with them to create Franklin Electronic Publishers where I ultimately served as President and Chief Scientist and led a great team that created the world’s first line of hand-held electronic books: spellers, dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibles, etc. It is estimated that 50-100 million of these first-generation electronic books were sold. I left Franklin in 1991 to return to research and other interests. During the subsequent ten years I focused on academic research at several local institutions including The Institute for Defense Analyses, NEC Research Institute, and Princeton University. During this time I also led investment in Netrics, a company focusing on intelligent database operations, later sold to Tibco. I also helped Franklin again by serving as consulting architect of its pioneering eBookMan product, the world’s first true eBook – and was honored to receive the Frankfurt eBook award for this work. Public education is my principal charitable interest and in 1997 I co-founded the Princeton Charter School, serving as President of its Board for the first 10 years.
